About Us

North Palm Church

North Palm Church is a multi-cultural community of believers that together believe we can change our world with the greatest change agent of all time, Jesus Christ! Once we are transformed as individuals, we believe that we all become leaders or influencers to change our families, communities, cities, and nations. Our philosophy is one of service as we come together in the church to be empowered to go to all spheres of societal influence. We can bring the kingdom of God to the earth in the areas of arts and entertainment, business, education, family, government, and media. We believe in training a child when he is young so he will walk in the fullness of the Kingdom when he is older. NPPS is one of the expressions of our commitment to this generation of children.

Meet Our Headmaster

Michelle Power

My name is Michelle Power, and I am honored to serve as Headmaster at North Palm Preparatory. This school is a longtime dream coming to fruition. Our children need a school that is led by the Holy Spirit, with instructors who are filled with the Holy Spirit. The curriculum at North Palm Preparatory includes both traditional core content and Bible instruction infused with the arts. Students will receive an in-depth, strong biblical foundation. In addition, the curriculum will be arts integrated, meaning core subject lessons will be taught through an arts component such as visual art, dance, music, or theater, to create a culture of creativity, engagement, and to meet the needs of the complete child.

I have been a member of North Palm Church for nineteen years. I play the violin on the worship team and produce services for North Palm Media. I married my high school sweetheart, Kyle Power, in 2007 and we have two beautiful boys, Levi and Noah.

This is my 15th year in education. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the College of Charleston. I have a Master’s Degree in Teaching Literacy and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the Citadel. My first four years as an educator were with the Colleton County School District where I taught 5th grade single gender boys. I left Colleton to work closer to home. I joined Berkeley County School District in 2012 and have taught 2nd and 3rd grade at Howe Hall AIMS, an arts infused magnet school. I am experienced in teaching arts integration and arts infusion. I have presented arts and technology integration at local and national conferences. I am currently the instructional coach at Howe Hall AIMS.

It is my privilege to lead North Palm Preparatory and the talented teachers and students at the start of a groundbreaking school. I believe in strong partnerships with families and the community.
